One is never quite sure – does the heating system work smoothly whilst away from home for longer periods, or just because the new high tech heating systems are not fully understood? How does one get quick advice and assistance if the system has a problem? In those situations a new control system ensures safety and comfort: vrnetDIALOG from Vaillant.
vrnetDIALOG diagnoses faults before the temperature drops
The Internet communication system connects the domestic heating system via telephone and Internet with the installer who installed the system. He is then in a position to control, check, diagnose faults and if necessary readjust the system from his office desk. Often the installer is able to diagnose a fault before a drop of temperature is even noticed in the house, and is already at the door step with the right spare part before one manages to even find his telephone number.
The system vrnetDIALOG consists of a communication unit, which is connected to the heating system and at the same time through an analogue telephone line or GSM modem via mobile frequency it is also connected to the Internet. The box just needs to be fixed on the wall next to the heating appliance and then connected to the appliance and to the Internet. By using an Internet based high security portal the installer gains access to the appliance. This is how he is able to attend to the majority of the necessary work , without having to arrange time-consuming appointments for house visits in difficult traffic conditions. He can arrange appointments after a first-time installation, read appliance data or adjust the heating curve. He can also optimise the heating output or diagnose faults through an animated display on his computer screen; this enables him to narrow down the fault causes and identify the spare parts needed.
vrnetDIALOG also checks the freezer in the basement
vrnetDIALOG can be connected to all Vaillant gas and oil heating system models from 1999 onwards. Technically it is possible to have direct contact to either one system in a detached property or up to 16 different systems in an appartment block. However, the use of this intelligent control system is not only limited to heating systems – via different portals fault messages from other heat sources can be connected too. Feasible would also be the activating of indicator switches in oil tanks, fault messages of ground water pumps, the control of freezers in the basement, or the activating of alarm systems, e.g. per SMS to a mobile.
High performance for high comforts
The cost of this heating control system is reasonable – the analogue vrnetDIALOG has an end user purchase price in Germany of 432,- Euro, with the GSM modem it costs 695,- Euro (recommended retail price excl. VAT). Necessary communication costs are charged separately.
