Karl-Ernst Vaillant celebrates 70th birthday

Karl-Ernst Vaillant, Vaillant Group Partner, celebrates his 70th birthday on June 10. As Managing Director of Vaillant from 1966, over the next 30 years he put his stamp on the internal and public image of the company his great-grandfather Johann Vaillant founded in 1874. Above all, he played a decisive role in pushing ahead product development in the segments of wall-hung and floor-standing boilers, as well as gas water heaters, in which the company now has leading positions in the European market.

The many honours he was awarded, such as the Bavarian Order of Merit, the title of Honorary Senator of the Technical University of Karlsruhe, and the Federal Order of Merit First Class show that his work was acknowledged far beyond the company. For Karl-Ernst Vaillant also always gladly provided his advice in industry bodies and in scientific circles, such as when he was President of the national association of companies in the gas and water supply industry (figawa) and as a member of the Executive Board of the German Technical and Scientific Association for Gas and Water (DVGW). He is also Honorary President of the Remscheid Employers' Association.
