• Dr Carsten Voigtländer appointed new Managing Director 
• Dieter Müller leaves the Vaillant Group at own wish
  

Remscheid, 13 August 2009 – The Supervisory Board of Vaillant GmbH has appointed Dr Carsten Voigtländer as a full Managing Director of the company with effect from 1 September 2009 in succession to Dieter Müller. Dr Voigtländer will be responsible for the Technology Division and will lead the Vaillant Group as a member of the Management Board together with Ralf-Otto Limbach and Dr Dietmar Meister.

Dr Carsten Voigtländer was born in Neumünster on 14 September 1963. He completed his studies of mechanical engineering and process technology at the Technical University (TU) of Braunschweig with a degree and PhD. Following scientific research work at the Institute of Thermodynamics at TU Braunschweig, and various managerial positions at the Neumag company, based in Neumünster, he was latterly CEO of Oerlikon Textile, based in Remscheid. Dr Voigtländer is married and has two children.

Dieter Müller leaves the company after long lasting successful service
Dieter Müller leaves the Vaillant Group as Managing Director of the Technology Division on 31 August 2009 at his own wish. He worked successfully for the company for almost 18 years. Before his appointment as Managing Director, Dieter Müller held various managerial positions in the Vaillant Group, including responsibility for the spare parts business, building up the activities in Eastern Europe, and the Manufacturing division.

Dieter Müller has rendered great services to the Vaillant Group. The Supervisory Board thanks him for his work.
